YouTube Squirrel is the Windows 8 application for saving YouTube content onto your computer. That allows you to consume content without incurring further network costs.

Typical reasons for downloading content are:

• Watching HD content that will not reliably stream on your current internet connection.
• Obtaining content when attached to a fast cheap internet connection for viewing later when your connection may be reduced or unavailable.
• Taking a local copy to guarantee a YouTube video included in a pressentation will play.
